Simulasi dan Evaluasi Insinerasi Sampah Organik Rumah Tangga Pada Reaktor Unggun Tetap (Fixed Bed)
Abstract
Tujuan makalah ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh variasi kadar air sampah padat dan kelebihan udara pembakaran terhadap suhu dan komposisi gas buang pembakaran dari sampah organik rumah tangga. Karakteristik suhu dan komposisi gas pembakaran diperlukan untuk perancangan peralatan, dan menentukan sistem pengolahan gas buang. Pengaruh kedua variabel ini dipelajari dengan cara simulasi pada reaktor unggun tetap. Korelasi empiris dari kedua variabel terhadap suhu pembakaran gas buang dihitung dari neraca massa dan neraca energi. Hasil  perhitungannya, selanjutnya digunakan untuk menghitung komposisi gas buang pembakaran (tar,CO2 ,CO, CH4, CxHy ) menggunakan model yang dipresentasikan oleh Neves. Berdasarkan simulasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kenaikan kadar air sampah dapat menurunkan suhu gas buang, sedangkan variasi kelebihan udara pembakaran pada rentang 20-100% tidak berpengaruh terhadap suhu gas buang. Variasi kadar air sampah dan kelebihan udara pembakaran pada rentang yang dievaluasi, tidak banyak berpengaruh terhadap komposisi gas buang hasil pembakaran.
