PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MINYAK KELAPA DAN TALLOW SEBAGAI SUMBER ENERGI RANSUM TERHADAP PERFORMANCE BROILER
Abstract
Penelitian tentang pengaruh penggunaan minyak kelapa dan tallow sebagai sumber energi dalam ransum terhadap performance telah dilakukan pada broiler umur 21-49 hari, dengan rataan bobot hidup awal 522 ± 20,58 g; koefisien keragaman 4 persen. Perlakuannya adalah 7 jenis ransum isokalori dan isonitrogen, yang diformulasikan masing-masing mengandung 1, 2, dan 3 % minyak kelapa atau tallow, serta satu ransum kontrol tanpa suplementasi minyak kelapa atau tallow. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level minyak kelapa dan tallow berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot hidup (BH), pertambah-an bobot badan (PBB), bobot karkas (BK), dan bobot lemak abdominal (BLA); perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata(P<0,01) terhadap konsumsi pakan (KP), konversi pakan (KvP) dan berbeda nyata dengan kelompok kontrol (R0). Perlakuan tidak berpengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap persentase bobot lemak abdominal (PBLA), bobot liver (BL), persentase bobot liver (PBL), bobot organ visceral (BV) dan persentase organ viseral (PBV). Secara umum, antara ayam yang mendapatkan ransum minyak kelapa dan yang mendapatkan ransum tallow, tidak terdapat perbedaan (P>0,05) dalam performance. Disimpulkan bahwa level minyak kelapa dan tallow dalam ransum berpengaruh ter-hadap performance broiler, tetapi jenis sumber lemak tidak berpengaruh terhadap performance broiler. Penggunaan minyak kelapa dan tallow pada level 3 % dalam ransum menunjukkan performance broiler yang terbaik.
